I'm new in github, I don't know where to write such issue exactly, but its problem, I think must be decided.

Example Knp-menu - knp-menu doc tell us one thing, but really we have another file: DefaultMenuBuilder

The second thing is third parameter which need to pass to construct in services serviceXml. I set empty array, but I don't fully understand how this parameters is used.
And I think many people use yaml for services, so we should give both variants settings. I had to find symfony converter xml to yaml and do it.

Maybe I don't understand something, correct me please.

If documentation is outdated, feel free to update it and send PR.

Your question is related to KNP menu, not generator bundle.

Your complaint about how menu is builded here and how it is shown in documentation of KNP menu is not valid. KNP menu documentation shows an EXAMPLE how to build a menu, it is not a mandatory. This bundle uses KNP menu according to his needs.

If you need different menu for your project -> you can customize it as you will.
