Kludge Cyber Systems T. Russell
Manual Document Technical Lead
Intended Status: Informational Dec 27, 2020
Keyhole
Syrus-Bot/Keyhole
Abstract
Keyhole, hereon referred to as "the program" or simply by name, is a
command-line utility written in TypeScript designed to find
untranslated or missing keys for use in Sapphire Framework projects
using either i18next or @scp/in17n. It is designed to follow the
KCS specification adaptation of the Plan 9 design philosophy, for
speed, elegance, and simplicity.
It will also include in the future a GitHub actions workflow, to
allow people to detect untranslated or orphaned keys automatically
as part of their CI / DevOps workflows.
Status of This Memo
This document is considered a Work-In-Progress, and as such is
subject to change at any time. It may be reviewed, redrafted, or
redacted altogether later in time by an internal employee of KCS.
In its present state it should be taken as a concept only.
Copyright
This document, along with all others published by KCS unless
explicitly stated otherwise, is dedicated to the public domain
in the interest of preserving freedoms and practicing what we
preach. However, if your country's braindead copyright law does not
recognize the public domain, it is also made available as part of
the program under the terms of the MIT license.
All we ask is that if you are to create any derivative works or take
inspiration from us, you give us proper credit. Aside from that,
our only hope is that our work serves useful to whomever may find
it.

Manual Document Keyhole 27 December 2020
Usage
keyhole [-R] [-U] <languages-path> <path>
-R - (R)ecursively scan directory
-U - Show (U)nused keys mode
This will show all keys that are available in translation
but are not used in any files.
The default behaviour is to show untranslated keys.
<languages-path> should be the singular path (directory or file) to
query the keys for, no matter the mode.
<path> should be a directory to search all files in (will not scan
subdirectories by default without -R enabled), a single file to
scan, or a list of files, specified as follows:
keyhole [options] <path1> <path2> etc.
