USB3 dual HDMI adapter - DP14, 2-lane link

Tried a new USB3 dock/hub. It is a DeLock 87004, which has dual HDMI. Plugging it is fine, when attaching a monitor to a HDMI port freezes my Macbook Pro running Arch with kernel 6.3.1 on a MacBookPro15,1
dmesg --follow writes this:

The dock works under OSX, I have only attempted with one monitor though. Booting to OSX and rebooting with de-powering the dock makes it work in linux, sometimes it flickers a bit though. Is this a T2 issue? It works fine on a HP laptop with linux.
