@benpawle Tide has a really dark theme, wouldn't it be painful for the eyes to switch from those light colors to a dark colored theme?
I suggest reusing the dark colors from the IDE in the Welcome Screen.
I did some quick photoshop actions as good as a programmer can and made up this as an example:

Hi Stefan this feature isn't implemented yet. I hear your point but we're going to go with light theme first just due to the fact that its friendlier in appearance 👌
