Hi there,

I am trying to follow the tutorial posted here: ( ,. However, I am experiencing some difficulties

When I try to test the device by running
import pithermalcam as ptc
ptc.test_camera()

I receive the error:

Camera didn't seem to work properly. When I try to run the camera via live video I get this error

Similarly, when I try and run the python to stream the video over the local network via a web server, I receive this error:

I noticed in another discussion that this error can be the case of not increasing the baudrate, however I tried and retried writing i2c_arm_baudrate=400000 into the /boot/config.txt file and I am still receiving the same errors. I noticed that they all fail when getting to the GetFrameData stage.

I am able to verify that the camera is connected. Would anyone be able to help me discern what is going wrong?

Thank you for the response. I apologize, there was poor spacing on my part, but I noted at the end of my post that I noticed in another person's discussion the baudrate issue. I tried and retried writing i2c_arm_baudrate=400000 from the documentation into the /boot/config.txt file and I was still receiving the same errors. I was afraid to increase it any further. Should I just try to increase it, and reduce it when I get to the openCV part of the documentation?

I also noticed that all the scripts fail when getting to the GetFrameData stage, could this be connected?

I tried increasing it to 800000, however I am still receiving the same errors. Additionally, if it helps, I am using a raspberry pi 4 B and the 55 degree camera.

I am also getting the same runtime error: "Too many retries"

I have tried setting the baudrate as low as 1 and continue to receive the error whilst running test_camera() - any pointers would be greatly appreciated or if anyone else has had this and resolved it.

I have just spotted a mistake in my boot/config.txt... I had a space before the comma when specifying multiple params on a single line...removed the space and it's working.
