.TH SPARUB 1 "APRIL 2017" "version 1.0"
.SH NAME
sparub \- generate a benchmark dedicated to SPARQL UPDATE
.SH SYNOPSIS
.B sparub [\-h \-p] [\fB\-o\fR \fIPATH\fB] [\fB\-\-max\-triple\-number\fR \fIBITS\fB]
.IR dataset_file
.B [
.IR query_file
.B ... ]
.SH DESCRIPTION
.B sparub
extends all the existing RDF/SPARQL benchmarks i.e. keeping the
already run test suite and giving new scenarios involving dynamicity
of data. To do that, sparub takes as inputs an RDF dataset (N\-Triples
format to be easily parsed) and an optional list of SPARQL queries. It
then returns a set of RDF files and a testing scenario (and also some
logs...) in a dedicated directory.
.SH OPTIONS
.IP "\-h , \-\-help"
Print the help and exit.
.IP "\-p , \-\-print\-query"
Print one by one the generated queries at the end of the process,
limiting the diplay to the 10th first lines.
.IP "\-o PATH"
Set the output directory to
.I "PATH"
.br
If nothing is given the default value is the current directory:
.I "./"
.IP "\-\-max\-triple\-number BITS"
Set the maximum number of triples that will be involved in the step
dealing with the tradeoff between updating the base and re-loading
everything.
.br
The default value is set at 10'000.
.br
If the given number is larger than the dataset size, it will be
reduced to that number.
.SH FILES
.B sparub
outputs its generated scenario into the
.I "./sparub\-benchmark/"
directory. It is created if it does not exist and will be located
where the generator is called. More specifically, this directory will
contain the benchmark detailed scenario in
.I "sparub-process.txt"
and also several types of files: the SPARQL queries in
.I "*.rq"
, the samples of dataset
.I "dataset*.nt"
and the
.I "triples*.nt"
which are lists of possible solutions corresponding to the SPARQL
queries that might have been given as arguments.
.SH WARNING
.B sparub
needs at least 1'000 triples in the initial file. Otherwise, it
considers that no relevant scenario can be generated and thus does
nothing.
.SH EXAMPLES
For instance, launch
.B sparub
as follows:
.in +.5in
>bash sparub.sh ntriples_file sparql_query_1 sparql_query_2
.in
