I cannot find a way to enable some of my installed spellcheckers, the list only shows English spell checkers, any idea?

Hi,

Current winefish versions use "aspell'' (which isn't really good.) The list of dictionaries supported by aspell can be checked from command line:

aspell dicts

Do you see your language in the output of that command?

Cheers,

Anh HK

No, its not there...

The Hebrew spell checker is called HSpell and it has Aspell compatibility, I compiled it with the ASpell compatibility feature (using configure) but it didn't help... I still can't see it in the list shown for aspell dicts

So that's a problem of Aspell installation. I think that you may use native Aspell's support for Hebrew language (see ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/aspell/dict/0index.html). About HSpell, I have no idea :(

This is an obsolete version of HSpell :)

Many words are missing... I'll ask the HSpell authors about Aspell support, is there any chance that the internal Spellchecking option will be expanded?

If Aspell supports your language (so that you can see Hebrew in aspell dicts), Winefish will know that :)

Thanks man, I will, and if I'll make it, should I notify you about the solution?
