Alt+n doesn't work in VSCode on macOS

2. Issues with the Zellij UI / behavior / crash

Issue description

Using zellij in the vscode integrated terminal runs into the issue of not passing shortcuts to the program: https://zellij.dev/documentation/compatibility#alt-button-mapping-on-mac-hardware-darwin-systems

Currently if I press option+n it produces a lone tilde, ˜, which I could then type n after to apply the unicode character part to, ex ñ.

Minimal reproduction

Install zellij and vscode on macOS, open a zellij session in the vscode terminal and try to press Option+N to create a new pane
