This application allows users to search for gifs from Giphy. Search results are displayed in a grid on the main page. Users can select favorites that are added to a separate "favorites" page. They can then be viewed and categorized.
- Run the query from the database.sql file to create a new database and table. values are included if you want to use the images included with the project.
- Use the "$ npm install" command to install dependencies.
- Use the "$ npm run server" command to start the server.
- Use the "$ npm run client" command to start the react development build.
- Access the webpage via the url "localhost:3000"
- Enter a search term into the "search" field. Press the "search" button to initiate search. Results will be displayed beneath the search field.
- To favorite a gif, click the heart at the bottom of the image.
- To view saved favorites click the "favorite" link at the top of the page.
- Favorites can be categorized by selecting a cetgory from the drop-down menu beneath each gif and pressing the "categorize" button.
