FFmpeg defaults HEVC in mp4/mov to the hev1 sample entry. When SaveVideo remuxes an HEVC mp4/mov source without re-encoding, the output now gets the hvc1 tag instead.

I ran into this issue when using SeeDance 2.5 nodes on macOS: QuickTime and Final Cut don't recognize the video files (though VLC plays them fine)

111-122: Reject incomplete required hvcC arrays.

nal_type masks out array_completeness. A VPS, SPS, or PPS array with this bit clear still passes and receives hvc1. Keep the array-header byte and reject required arrays when array_completeness is zero. Add coverage that clears this bit and expects hev1 with three decoded frames.

📝 Walkthrough

Walkthrough

The PR adds hvcC validation and ISO BMFF retagging. During stream copying, eligible non-Dolby HEVC streams with complete VPS, SPS, and PPS extradata receive the hvc1 tag for MP4 and MOV outputs. Tests cover standard HEVC, Dolby Vision, missing or incomplete parameter sets, oversized parameter-set arrays, and decoded frame preservation.

Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to 6d397

The change is narrowly scoped to HEVC MP4/MOV remux tagging, but incomplete required codec arrays can still be labeled hvc1, potentially producing incorrectly tagged outputs for affected files. This is a bounded compatibility risk that should receive owner follow-up, but it is not a broad or release-blocking failure.
