Updating encrypted values is confusing

It's too easy to supply a plain text value to an encrypted property. The ui behaves oddly if I then start clicking the encrypt and decrypt button on this property. Users of generated passwords can have a harder time telling the difference between encrypted and unencrypted passwords just looking at the text.
