Creating an instance

When you first get MultiMC, the first thing you'll want to do is create an instance. You can do this by simply clicking the "new instance" button in the top left and typing in a name for your new instance.

Once you've created your new instance, simply run it by double clicking on it's icon. You can log in to Minecraft and play normally.

Mods

Installing mods is easy! Simply right click an instance's icon and choose 'Add mods'. This will open the instance's instMods folder. Any file you place in this folder will be installed directly into minecraft.jar automagically! If you place a zip file in the folder, however, MultiMC will add the contents of the zip file instead of the zip file itself.

To remove mod files from an instance, all you need to do is right click the icon, and click edit mods. It will open up a menu showing all of the mods installed. To remove a mod or texture pack, simply check the box next to it and click OK. The mod will be removed from wherever it was installed.

Icons

You can change the icon for an instance by right clicking on it and choosing "Change Icon". This will open a menu showing the available icons to choose from. Simply double click on an icon in the menu to change the instance's icon to it.
