Computer Technician Tools (CTT)

The open-source knowledge base for fixing, repairing, securing, understanding technology, and much more...

🚧 Project Status

Computer Technician Tools is currently under active development.

Many sections are still being expanded, reorganized, and improved. More content and features will be added over time.

CTT is growing continuously as new tools, platforms, repair information, troubleshooting procedures, references, and guides are added.

📚 What is CTT?

Computer Technician Tools (CTT) is an open-source technical knowledge base created to make troubleshooting and maintaining technology easier.

CTT collects useful information, tools, guides, references, and practical solutions in one place, so you don't have to search through dozens of different websites every time something goes wrong.

The project started in 2024 with a simple goal:

Make it easier for me to troubleshoot and maintain my own computers, while building something useful enough to help other people do the same.

Since then, the idea has expanded beyond computers to cover as much technology as possible.

🔧 What you will find here

CTT covers many areas of technology, including:

  • Computer Hardware: Hardware information, diagnostics, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Software Diagnostics: Tools and guides for investigating crashes, errors, and system problems.
  • Recovery and Boot Tools: Recovery utilities, bootable USBs, disk tools, and system recovery.
  • Security: Antivirus, malware removal, security tools, and useful security references.
  • Benchmarking: Benchmark software, testing tools, and benchmark results.
  • Operating Systems: Windows, Linux, macOS, Android, iOS, and more.
  • Gaming and Consoles: Console and handheld troubleshooting, repair, modification, and related guides.
  • Mobile Devices: Android, iOS, diagnostics, repair, firmware, and troubleshooting.
  • Networking: Routers, firewalls, networking equipment, DNS, Wi-Fi, and related troubleshooting.
  • Optical Media: CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray, optical drives, disc imaging, burning, ripping, and troubleshooting.
  • Repair and Modding: Hardware modifications, software customization, repairs, and technical guides.
  • Commands and References: Explanations of commands, parameters, what they do, and why they are useful.

And this is only the beginning.

📖 Why CTT Exists

Technology information is scattered across the internet.

A solution to one problem might be on a forum.
A useful tool might be on GitHub or somewhere else.
A repair procedure might be hidden inside an old post.
A command might be documented on a manufacturer's website.

Finding the right information can take a lot of time.

CTT aims to make that process easier by bringing useful information together into one organized and searchable knowledge base.

Instead of searching everywhere:

👥 The Story

CTT was created by MRCYO in 2024.

The project is maintained by:

It started as a personal project to make troubleshooting and maintaining computers faster and easier.

Over time, it grew into something bigger: a project that can help other people find technical information without having to dig through the entire internet.

The goal is to keep expanding CTT with more tools, more platforms, more repair information, more guides, and contributions from other people.

🤝 Contributions

CTT is open source, and contributions are welcome.

You can help by:

  • Adding guides and useful tools
  • Fixing incorrect information
  • Adding troubleshooting procedures
  • Documenting hardware
  • Adding console and game modding information
  • Improving the website
  • Fixing bugs
  • Reporting outdated information
  • Adding new platforms
  • Improving existing documentation

Even a small contribution can help someone solve a problem.
