Organization profile

The public organization profile is also available in both languages:

Language model

Organization-wide public policies are bilingual and can be read in either English or Portuguese (Brazil).

Individual repositories may use English or Portuguese (Brazil) as their primary collaboration language according to the repository's users, maintainers, documentation, and operational context.

Repository-specific contributor-facing templates must follow the primary language of that repository. This applies to:

  • Issue Forms;
  • Issue templates;
  • Pull Request templates;
  • repository-specific contributor instructions;
  • automated contributor-facing guidance defined by the repository.

For example:

Repository primary language: English
→ Issue and Pull Request templates: English

Repository primary language: Portuguese (Brazil)
→ Issue and Pull Request templates: Portuguese (Brazil)

A single organization-wide Issue or Pull Request template should not be used to force one language on repositories that operate in another language. When reusable templates are maintained centrally, NDT digital should maintain separate English and Portuguese (Brazil) variants for repositories to adopt according to their primary collaboration language.

Contributor templates

Reusable Issue Form and Pull Request template variants are maintained in the template library.

The library contains separate English and Portuguese (Brazil) sets. Repositories must adopt the set that matches their primary collaboration language rather than mixing both languages in a single active template set.

Repository-specific policies

A repository may define local policy files when project-specific requirements are necessary.

Local policies should reference the applicable organization-wide policy and document only the additional requirements relevant to that repository whenever practical.

Repository-specific files may include, for example:

  • SECURITY.md;
  • CONTRIBUTING.md;
  • CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md;
  • SUPPORT.md;
  • GOVERNANCE.md.

Licensing

The organization-wide Licensing Policy defines the licensing profiles used by NDT digital.

Each repository must still contain its own effective LICENSE or explicit licensing notice appropriate to the project. The organization-wide policy does not replace a repository's actual license.

Public profile

GitHub renders profile/README.md as the public organization profile.

Its Portuguese (Brazil) version is available at profile/README.pt-BR.md.
