In order to translate read_time correctly, some languages, namely Russian, require more complex pluralization rules for numbers. In Russian it looks like:

  • Читается за 10 минут
  • Читается за 1 минуту
  • Читается за 3 минуты

Exact rules are described here: http://unicode.org/repos/cldr-tmp/trunk/diff/supplemental/language_plural_rules.html

Same for swedish, which would look like:

  • 1 minuts läsning
  • 10 minuters läsning

I asked Twitter about this, and @yaroslavpat suggested getting rid of the word 'read' here. It makes sense, because any mention of reading here sounds too wordy and awkward, much worse than in English.

I also contracted 'minutes' to 'min.', because full word requires issue TryGhost#55 to be resolved. It's okay in Russian, but it would be better to just pluralize minutes correctly.
