This Next.js application allows users to search and browse GIFs using the GIPHY API while leveraging Firebase Authentication for user login and registration. It provides a seamless experience for exploring GIFs and marking favorites.
- User Authentication: Enable users to sign up or log in using their email and password via Firebase Authentication.
- GIF Search: Utilize the GIPHY API to display a gallery of GIFs based on user-searched keywords.
- Mark Favorites (Optional): Allow users to mark individual GIFs as favorites and view them in a dedicated section.note -not fully functional and working
- Trending gifs: it shows trending gifs when user enters to the giphy page after successfully login
- Node.js installed
- Firebase account and API credentials
- GIPHY API key
- Clone the repository- git clone https://github.com/your-username/your-repo.git
2.Open the project in Visual Studio Code (VSCode) or your preferred code editor.
3.Install the project dependencies using the following command in the terminal: npm install
4.Start the development server: npm run dev 5.Open your browser and visit http://localhost:3000 to see the app in action.
HOW TO USE AND RUN THIS APP 1-open the downloaded folder in VScode. 2-open terminal 3-npm run dev 4-in this website u will see two modules 1- signup 2-signin 5-signup is needed to use the website 6-once u have signed up the website page move you to the main home page 7- in home page u will have to login 8-in login window u will have to enter the same credentials which u have entered at the time of signin 9-after successfully sign in page will move you to the giphy page window 10-Now u can see trending giphs and search the gif u want to see
