Quickstart Guide to Setting Up a WordPress Assets Mirror

If you want to setup an alternate WordPress mirror you have come to the right place. Anyone can setup a mirror for their own WordPress site(s). If you plan to manage over 1,000 sites, please contact us for an API key. There is a charge for creating a WordPress asset mirror for for >1,000 websites.

Requirements

  • Update Plugin

  • Replacement API to respond to update requests

  • A storage location (eg S3, Fastly CDN, CloudFlare CDN, your own CDN). You will need 100GB of space for the most recent versions. If you want to store more versions, you'll need to make sure you have enough space to allow for growth.

  • WordPress plugins/themes/core assets collected in assistance with AssetGrabber
