Excalibur K.E. meeting #4

-- 11th - 12th July: Excalibur program event

This is a in-person event at Met Office (Exeter) and is open to all project members

Program board still undecided on what will go on in the programme workshop.

K.E's to advise what these workshops would look like.

Travel expenses from own project travel budget

Valuable for as many project members to attend for scientific exchange plus exchange between Research software engineers

The event will be hybrid (in-person plus virtual)

Instead of summary of results, it has been suggested that it will be more useful for people to describe their algorithms and state what worked and what didn't work.

Also suggested that people could demo their code and use the training space/materials provided

A poster session is also been put forward - but it needs to work on a virtual space as well.

cost of workshop will be split between projects (~£500 each)

This workshop will be open to all Research Software Engineers not just the Excalibur project
