Chocolatey CLI deprecated side-by-side installation in version 1.2.0. Support for side-by-side installs will be completely removed in version 2.0.0 which is pencilled to be available at the end of Q1 2023 / start of Q2 2023.
It looks like the module supports side-by-side installations. That support should likely be either removed or gated for versions of Chocolatey CLI < 2.0.0.
