OK, after suffering much shell scripting differences between osx & linux, I've got a pretty minimal fix now. PTAL @conda-forge/tzdata :)

@conda-forge/core, I haven't managed to get a hold of the maintainers here for a month, and added myself as a maintainer now. Could someone PTAL to merge/review?
