Conversation
…erability jsoup 1.23.1 is flagged by Snyk (CVE-2026-75140) for unbounded memory growth in XmlTreeBuilder's namespace scope tracking. Fixed upstream in 1.23.2 via a rewritten NamespaceBindings scope tracker that replaces the per-element namespace-map copy. Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
✅ Snyk checks have passed. No issues have been found so far.

Problem
jsoup 1.23.1 is flagged by Snyk (SNYK-JAVA-ORGJSOUP-19233597, CVE-2026-75140) for unbounded resource allocation:
XmlTreeBuildercopies the entire inherited namespace map on every start element, so parsing XML with many nested, uniquely-named namespace declarations grows time and retained memory quadratically — an attacker can triggerOutOfMemoryErrorwith a crafted document.Fix
jsoup1.23.1 → 1.23.2, which replaces the per-element namespace-map copy with a scopedNamespaceBindingstracker (pushScope()/popScope()), eliminating the quadratic growth.[0,],fixedIn: []) because it was published two days before 1.23.2 shipped — its own text says "a fix was pushed into the master branch but not yet published." The scan will likely still flag this version until Snyk updates the advisory; the fix itself is verified against jsoup's upstream source diff.
