The knowledge base wiki of the Core Unit Bioinformatics

The knowledge base wiki is (for now) organized into three broad categories explained below.

In particular for the categories "hint" and "tech", you should see this resource as a way of organizing knowledge outside of your personal domain to make it available to your peers. In other words, instead of maintaining a set of bookmarks in your browser, rather document problem and solution here, and add the link to the original source where you found the solution.

Helpful hints

Use this category to concisely document solutions to strange problems, in particular when you spent a lot of time finding the right (and quirky or hacky) solution.

Tech talk

Use this category to explain complicated data formats, algorithmic concepts or technical specifications. Ideally, articles in this category should focus on what's really relevant and provide additional explanations in simple terms (as briefly as possible w/o omitting important information).

CUBI rules

Use this category to describe CUBI-internal standards and norms, or add a tentative article to start a discussion in the group.
