Well, what is it?

A couple of things actually

• The "knowledge database" is a forum heavily inspired by stackoverflow

What we are trying to achieve is that our students use their own community to give and take from during their journey of becoming developers. This way we stimulate collaboration, they can show active participation and we think we all benefit from this.

• The "knowledge database" is an addition to the gamification process that this Application- and Mediadevelopment course is undergoing.

By contributing ( among others to this forum ) in a supportive, constructive way, students gain points for their 'houses'. Think Harry Potter.

• The "knowledge database" will be an ongoing open source project where students (and others of course) can contribute to.

By contributing to an open source project, we stimulate our students to participate in our wonderful world of programming and get them in the good habit of supporting the community. You take some, you give some, you learn some and you teach some.
