Connecting with the new Minecraft Launcher

After installing the new updated launcher from Microsoft/Mojang and logging in, follow the instructions below to create a new profile to use with TrueCraft.

  1. Click the "Launch Options" tab. If the "Launch Options" tab is not showing, click the Menu icon (The one with the three bars)
  2. Click the "Add new" button
  3. Name your profile something you will remember.
  4. Click the drop-down box, scroll down to the "old_beta" section, and select "old_beta b1.7.3"
  5. Click the "Save" button
  6. Click the Minecraft button at the top or the "News" tab
  7. Use the arrow next to the current profile/play button to select the profile you just created
  8. Click "Play" and enjoy!

Connecting with the old Minecraft Launcher

After downloading and installing Minecraft, follow the instructions below to create a profile and to select the correct Minecraft Version number that will work with TrueCraft

  1. Click 'New Profile' in the bottom left hand corner of the Minecraft Launcher
  2. Name it something memorable (TrueCraft)
  3. Untick 'Automatically ask Mojang for assistance with fixing crashes'
  4. Tick 'Allow use of old "Beta" Minecraft versions (from 2010 - 2011)'
  5. Click 'Yes' on the dialog that pops up
  6. In the 'Use Version' dropdown, select the following entry: "old_beta b1.7.3" (selecting a different version will lead to errors!)
  7. Click 'Save Profile'

Now use this profile to run version b1.7.3 of Minecraft!
