General Information

EndProduct

Caseflow creates one or more end products (EPs) in VBMS after completing an intake for a ClaimReview or establishing DecisionIssues.

Due to the asynchronous nature of creating an EP, Caseflow effectively stores and manages EndProductEstablishments (EPEs).

EndProductEstablishment

An EPE is a Caseflow model that represents end products that have been or need to be established by Caseflow. They are used to track the status of end products as they are processed in VBMS and/or SHARE. EPE's are associated with a ClaimReview (abstract superclass for either a HigherLevelReview or SupplementalClaim) as its "source".

When an EPE's status changes to "cleared", its new rating issues and dispositions are loaded and used to create DecisionIssues. Syncing decision issues (DIs) could result in the creation of more EPs. For example, if the DI's disposition is duty-to-assist (DTA) or difference-of-opinion (DOO), a SupplementalClaim will automatically be generated with an EP Code 040.
