This bot receives HTTP post events from github via the webhooks framework, and sends messages about commits to the #discus-lang channel on freenode.
We have used several services for this over the years.
- CIA.vc (went offline in ~2012)
- KGB (got broken when we moved from darcs VCS to GitHub)
- GitHub IRC integration (deprecated shortly after Microsoft bought GitHub, in ~2017)
- (and now) GitHub Web Hooks
