Hello,
This is my first contribution to any GITHub project, so please forgive me if I'm not following the right protocol ;-)
I was using your project and I needed to use a parser function to convert dates stored as string from the JSON file to actual date objects. So I created this fork and I thought that it could be useful for more user.
