- Go to the Extensions view by clicking on the Extensions icon in the Sidebar or pressing
Ctrl+Shift+X
. - Search for "Status Bar (Custom)".
- Click Install to add it to your editor.
- Click Settings to open the extension settings.
- Edit your Status Bar according to your preferences. Change the background color, the text to be displayed, the text to be shown in the tooltip, and even a cool icon!
- After setting your customization options, press
Ctrl+Shift+P
and select the reload window option to restart your VS Code and view your updated Status Bar with your preferences.
