/dev/sd* gets renamed to /dev/xvda*, but /dev/xvda* is also used for ephemeral storage. So instead, use /dev/xvdb* to mount EBS volumes.
If node doesn't have a DNS name (such as in a VPC) or public IP, the private ip address is all the is available.

New kernels rename /dev/sd* to /dev/xda_, however these are used by ephemeral storage drives. So when an instance has ephemeral storage and an assigned EBS volume, there is no way to tell which is which. In addition, StarCluster looks to /dev/sd_ for the EBS volumes but never finds them.
This fix allows the ephemeral storage to stay at /dev/xda* and puts the EBS volumes at /dev/xdb*.
