I'm Elisa Martinenghi and I'm attending the Master's degree in Robotics Engineering at University of Genoa!
-
👀 I'm interest in biomedical robotics, human-robot interaction, cooperative robotics, manipulation, and coding.
-
🔭 I’m currently working on my Master thesis. I am implementing a framework that allows the user to control the mobile base of the Reachy 2 robot (from @pollen-robotics) with a visual Body Machine Interface that exploits hands movement. The same interface is then used to select an object, that the robot automatically grasps.

🤖 Master thesis — BoMI control of Reachy 2 — visual Body–Machine Interface (MediaPipe + YOLO) for hand-guided base control and autonomous grasping on a real humanoid (simulation + application in real life).
-
✋ Cooperative manipulation — task-priority control for dual-arm manipulation (Franka Panda) and underwater vehicle–manipulator systems.
-
🧭 Autonomous navigation (ROS 2) — multi-robot coordination, ArUco marker scanning, and a PDDL-driven planner tested on a real robot.
-
🔌 Embedded firmware (C) — PWM/SPI/ADC/UART drivers written from scratch on a PIC24, with an obstacle-avoidance state machine.
