  • master: The newest stable code, usually the same as the newest version branch(not always).
  • 0.2.x: The code for 0.2.x releases. Version 0.2.x is maintained separately because some major functionality would be incompatible with higher versions. But v0.2.x is planned to be maintained for a long time and keep evolving. For more about the difference between 0.2.x and higher, please refer to What makes 0.2.x special
  • transparent: Some low level optimizations or modifications which could be merged into any functional branches transparently. That means, code committed into transparent should not affect any behavior of the program. It only could do some modifications in the implementation level, silently.
  • If there's any other branches, it must be temporary bug-fix or experimental development branch.
