With over two decades of experience in web development and infrastructure my career has developed a niche of being a "fixer"; cleaning up, resolving long standing issues, and overall project stability, among other qualities. I consider myself a generalist in the software engineering space. I am equally comfortable on frontend development for marketing websites, building web applications to support business operations, to designing, building, and maintaining highly available, scalable infrastructure for growing startups.
I resonate deeply with DevOps philosophy and try to apply the principles at all aspects of my work.
Currently I am working as a Senior DevOps Engineer at BigCartel where I am back in the world of containers, and systems, and Ruby on Rails.
Creating good processes, (lower case "a") agile transformations, and maintaining web infrastructure, are aspects of my career for which I have a deep passion.
I no longer host my personal projects on GitHub, instead I self-host them on Forgejo.
