Removed unused/overwritten background-color declarations in .menu, updated several 'background' attrs to background-color and background-image to make style consistent.

@jfdnc thanks for the update! we've made some changes around accessibility that causes conflicts in your PR. Do you mind updating? Some of the new colors were explicitly for improving color contrast. |
