If HPV shows a red border around the page

The red border is shown when HPV can not open a SSE connection to the openHAB server.

Things to check in case HPV can is not correctly connected:

  1. Make sure you have the server URL (without path) in the Server URL preference, e.g. https://openhabserver:443
  2. Open the following URL in chrome on your device (not on a PC in your network, but on the device itself!): serverURL/rest/events?topics=smarthome/items/ (make sure to replace serverURL with the correct URL) => you should see updates of openHAB items in the browser

If point 2 does not show values, HPV will never be able to connect regardless of its configuration. The problem might be a faulty openHAB installation or a firewall intercepting the request.
