Player > AutoMine automatically swings your pickaxe (or any tool) on the block you're looking at - mining blocks automatically, you don't need to click your mouse!
If you enable AutoMine through GUI, you need to press Left Click once to activate it (currently true for any GUI: inventory, chat etc.) Use Alt+TAB and F3+P (disable Pause Menu) to do other tasks while auto-mining.

Tip: AutoMine and AutoTool go well together
Tip 2: You can automatically mine ender chests into obsidian with a Fortune 3 pickaxe if you set the AutoPlace mod to place ender chests for you.
