Currently, there is no way to view basic metadata stored for families and participants via the metamist UI. This makes understanding what we "know" about a family non-trivial.
Dan R was working on a family-centric view into the metamist but it was never released. Previously there was some very basic family-level data presented, but that seems to no longer be accessible.
In the short term, it would be great if the pedfile information was exposed in the UI.
In the longer term, a family-centric view of participants, their relationships and the samples/SGs associated with them is of high value to the RD team and enables robust troubleshooting and experimental design.
